Date: March 24, 2013
Rather expected game when 7th ranked Townsville Crocodiles (10-18) were defeated on the road by fifth ranked Melbourne Tigers (12-16) 78-70. Melbourne Tigers made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Townsville Crocodiles were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by the former international guard Nate Tomlinson (190-89, college: Colorado) who scored that evening 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international forward Liam Rush (202-82) supported him with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five Melbourne Tigers players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 6 rebounds by center Ben Allen (211-86, college: St.Mary's, CA) did not help to save the game for Townsville Crocodiles. The former international center Luke Nevill (218-86, college: Utah) added 8 points and 9 rebounds. Townsville Crocodiles' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Melbourne Tigers moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Kings. Townsville Crocodiles at the other side keep the seventh position with 18 games lost.
