1st Division round 27 caused change at the leadership position. Seventh defeat of league's leader Kerava Energia Team (21-7) against fourth ranked KaU Koris (17-11) 97-84 was the most important game of the last round. KaU Koris had a 40-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Kerava Energia Team helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for center Tomi Sakala (203-80) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 27 rebounds. point guard Janne Kinnunen (180-87) contributed with 37 points (!!!) for the winners. Five KaU Koris players scored in double figures. Cameroonian power forward Rudolf Mua (201-80) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized American guard La Trice Little (187-79, college: Mercy) added 21 points and 4 assists in the effort for Kerava Energia Team. Newly promoted KaU Koris maintains fourth place in Division with 17-11 record. Kerava Energia Team at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the second position with seven games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by TuNMKY who have the same record.
