Very predictable result when seventh ranked Lucca (15-12) edged at home 13th ranked Recanati (11-15) 85-82 on Sunday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Guard Andrea Barsanti (189-86) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Walter Santarossa (200-78) chipped in 15 points and 5 steals during the contest. Four Lucca players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Marco Gnaccarini (185-81) with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Nicolo Benedusi (193-88) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Lucca moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Treviglio. Loser Recanati dropped to the fifteenth position with 15 games lost. Lucca will face bottom-ranked Bologna (#19) in Ozzano Emilia in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Recanati will play at home against Perugia (#18).
