Seventh-ranked Mitsubishi Dolphins (12-30) gave a tough game to first ranked Aishin Sea Horses (34-8) in Kariya on Sunday. Aishin Sea Horses managed to secure only two-point victory 72-70. However their fans expected much easier game. Mitsubishi Dolphins were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The former international power forward Hiromasa Omiya (198-82) stepped up and scored 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and American center Ryvon Covile (206-84, college: Detroit Mercy) chipped in 15 points. The best for the losing side was Bahamas power forward Magnum Rolle (211-86, college: Louisiana Tech) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and forward Yuki Ueta (193-87) scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Aishin Sea Horses have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 34-8 record. Mitsubishi Dolphins at the other side keep the seventh position with 30 games lost.
