Regular Season Round 22: Akropol - LF Future 74-70

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Akropol as it allowed them to take a leadership position in North. Akropol defeated one of their biggest challengers LF Future in Spanga 74-70. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of LF Future. It was a key game for the top position in North. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 38-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Akropol dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to LF Future's 32. They outrebounded LF Future 38-23 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Akropol looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Richard Hartmann (201-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized Greek forward Athanasios Kalpakas (198-84) contributed with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Naturalized Australian swingman Timothy Kearney (200-86) replied with 23 points and 5 rebounds and guard Erik Edin (184-91) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for LF Future. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. LF Future at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost.
