There was an upset when higher ranked Armani Milano (14-10) was defeated at home by fourteenth ranked Sutor Montegranaro (9-15) 85-71 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Sutor Montegranaro. Armani Milano was better in fourth quarter 24-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Christian Burns (203-85, college: Philadelphia, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. The former international guard Daniele Cinciarini (194-83) chipped in 20 points. Five Sutor Montegranaro players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American Keith Langford (193-83, college: Kansas) who recorded 16 points and 6 rebounds and center Ioannis Bourousis (213-83, agency: FCM) added 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively. Sutor Montegranaro moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Armani Milano dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. Sutor Montegranaro will face bottom-ranked Angelico Biella (#16) on the road in the next round.
