Regular Season Round 24: Hito/Johvi - Tln Kalev 50-67

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Hito/Johvi's (2-25) home loss to eighth ranked Tln Kalev (8-21) 50-67 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Tln Kalev. Hito/Johvi managed to win fourth quarter 12-6. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-American forward Ike Okoye (206-86, college: Boise St.) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. American-Italian guard Marc Campbell (180-86, college: N.Carolina) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Tln Kalev players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Siim Laur (189-87) who recorded 14 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Edvard Trumm (192-83) added 2 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tln Kalev maintains eighth position with 8-21 record. Hito/Johvi lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 25 lost games. Tln Kalev will meet at home league's leader BC Rakvere in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Hito/Johvi will play against Kalev/Cramo (#3) in Tallinn and hope to secure a win.
