The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Treviglio's (15-13) road loss to fourth ranked Castelletto (16-11) 71-75. Treviglio was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 17-12 charge of Castelletto, which allowed them to win the game. They made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Alexander Simoncelli (188-86, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Forward Alex Ranuzzi (195-86, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Four Castelletto players scored in double figures. Forward Riccardo Pederzini (198-89) came up with 21 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and the former international power forward Riccardo Perego (203-81) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Treviglio in the defeat. Treviglio's coach Adriano Vertemati tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Castelletto moved-up to third place. Treviglio at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 13 games lost. Castelletto's next round opponent will be Lucca (#6) on the road. Treviglio will play against Bari.
