The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Olimpi (14-3) in Tbilisi on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by MIA (15-2) 70-63. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Olimpi. It was a key game for the top position in the league as both teams had the same 14-2 record before this meeting. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Olimpi won third quarter 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when MIA won last quarter 21-16. American center Kirk Archibeque (205-84, college: Fort Lewis) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import swingman Benjamin Raymond (198-87, college: Xavier, agency: KMG Sports Management) chipped in 24 points and 9 rebounds. Montenegrin center Stevan Milosevic (211-85, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 19 rebounds and forward Levan Fatsatsia (198-88) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four Olimpi players scored in double figures. MIA have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Olimpi at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. MIA are looking forward to face Kutaisi (#5) at home in the next round. Olimpi will play against Energy Invest in Rustavi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
