Very expected game when 13th ranked Mogi (11-21) lost on the road to third ranked Uberlandia (22-9) 75-68 on Thursday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-16. But Mogi won second period 13-7. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Robby Collum (185-81, college: W.Michigan) nailed 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and the former international center Jose Estevam Ferreira (211-78) accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds. The former international center Babby Araujo (211-80, college: BYU) came up with 19 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Guilherme Filipin (191-83) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Mogi in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Uberlandia have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain third place with 22-9 record having six points less than leader Flamengo. Mogi lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 21 games lost. Uberlandia will meet at home Sao Jose/Vinac (#7) in the next round. Mogi will play against Vivo/Franca (#5) in Sao Paulo and hope to secure a win.
