Second Stage Round 4: Svisloch - Sozh Gomel 68-85

An exciting game was played in Osipovichi. Second ranked Sozh Gomel faced one of their biggest challengers Svisloch. Guests from Gomel (19-8) defeated host Svisloch (12-16) 85-68. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 17-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-68. Ukrainian forward Dmytro Khodov (203-87) fired 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Ukrainian power forward Sergei Miakinin (206-86) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Ukrainian forward Maks Adam Konate (200-91) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 20 rebounds and point guard Oleksandr Dolenko (191-90) added 12 points and 9 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sozh Gomel maintains second position in League with 19-8 record having just -8 point less than leader Tsmoki-Minsk II. Svisloch at the other side keeps the third place with 16 games lost. Sozh Gomel are looking forward to face Rubon (#4) in Vitebsk in the next round. Svisloch will play on the road against the league's leader Grodno-93 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
