STU's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after 17 consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Samedicino-Academia (2-16) 90-86. STU shot 26 for 40 from the free-throw line, while Samedicino-Academia only scored nine points from the stripe. They outrebounded Samedicino-Academia 50-33 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. 28 personal fouls committed by Samedicino-Academia helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Giorgi Pirvelashvili (201-88) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Giorgi Kvetenadze (201-90) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. STU's coach Zurab Tomaradze used entire bench in such tough game. Forward Zurab Maisuradze (195-91) produced 31 points and 5 steals and guard Giorgi Gaprindashvili (190-88, college: Midland CC) added 17 points and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Four Samedicino-Academia players scored in double figures. STU maintains eleventh position with 1-17 record. Samedicino-Academia at the other side keeps the tenth place with 16 games lost.
