Eighth-ranked Paulistano (16-16) was very close to win a game against fourth ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (22-10) on Saturday. Paschoalotto/Bauru managed to secure only two-point victory 66-64. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-10. But Paulistano won second period 24-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for guard Ricardo Fischer (185-91) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Paschoalotto/Bauru are looking forward to face Pinheiros (#6) in Sao Paolo in the next round. Paulistano will play on the road against Liga Sorocaba in Sorocabana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
