Regular Season Round 28: Monaco - Cognac 81-75

Another exciting game for Monaco (14-10) which hosted higher ranked Cognac (16-9). Eighth ranked Monaco won 81-75. The hosts were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 27-18 run, which allowed them to win the game. Monaco players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian forward Milutin Aleksic (203-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and naturalized Tunisian power forward Mehdi Labeyrie-Hafsi (203-78) who added 17 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Serbian forward Dejan Sencanski (198-84, college: Abil.Christian) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and guard Cedric Bertorelle (198-78) scored 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Monaco moved-up to sixth place. Cognac at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Monaco will play against Saint Chamond (#12) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Cognac will play against Blois (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
