Regular Season Round 28: Sorgues - CFBB 96-64

Bottom-ranked CFBB is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 25th consecutive match to tenth ranked Sorgues (12-12) 96-64. The game without a history. Sorgues led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Sorgues forced 27 CFBB turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Sorgues especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Point guard Arnaud Thinon (178-87) fired 25 points (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!) for the winners. American-Italian swingman Ryan Zamroz (192-87, college: Master's, agency: Players Group) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. Four Sorgues players scored in double figures. Guard Charly Pontens (189-95) produced 16 points and 6 rebounds and forward Cyrille Eliezer-Vanerot (198-96) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sorgues maintains tenth position with 12-12 record. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings. Sorgues' next round opponent will be higher ranked La Rochelle (#8) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. CFBB will play against Chartres (#13) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
