Regular Season Round 25: Kalev/Cramo - TTU 76-64

Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tallinn: Kalev/Cramo (#3) and TTU (#4). Kalev/Cramo (17-5) won against visiting TTU (14-12) 76-64. The game without a history. Kalev/Cramo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Kalev/Cramo outrebounded TTU 40-20 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. U.S. Virgin Islands center Frank Elegar (208-86, college: Drexel) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and American power forward Gary Wilkinson (205-82, college: Utah St.) chipped in 18 points. Kalev/Cramo's coach Alar Varrak used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international forward Erik Keedus (198-90) responded with 5 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and swingman Jaan Puidet (191-92) scored 11 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kalev/Cramo have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains third place with 17-5 record having eleven point less than leader Tarvas. Loser TTU keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. Kalev/Cramo's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tallinn .
