There was no surprise when 9th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (15-29) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (28-16) 89-83 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Carlos Dixon (201-81, college: Virginia Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Dillion Sneed (203-84, college: E.Tenn.St.) chipped in 24 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Four Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Ricky Woods (194-84, college: SE Louisiana) who recorded a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 18 rebounds and 7 assists and center Jonathan Jones (211-79, agency: TSS Management) added 23 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Iwate Big Bulls maintains fourth position with 28-16 record. Tokyo Cinq R. lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 29 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will face higher ranked Shimane Magic (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Tokyo Cinq R. will play against Kyoto Hannar. (#6).
