Quarter-Finals Round 1: Bayer Giants - BSW Sixers 100-83

The game was mostly controlled by Bayer Giants. BSW Sixers managed to win fourth quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded BSW Sixers 44-32 including 29 on the defensive glass. Bayer Giants looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American point guard Adonte Parker (183-89, college: Dayton) nailed 40 points (!!!) and 7 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import Jack Eggleston (203-88, college: Pennsylvania, agency: Pro One Sports) accounted for 16 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists. Bayer Giants' coach Achim Kuczmann used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Jeremie Simmons (188-87, college: Ohio St., agency: SDJ Sports) came up with 26 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and swingman Tom Lipke (194-86, agency: Court Side) added 10 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for BSW Sixers in the defeat. Four Bayer Giants and five BSW Sixers players scored in double figures.
