Regular Season Round 32: Den Bosch - Leiden 88-85

The most exciting game of round 32 in the Eredivisie took place in Den Bosch. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Leiden (26-8) to first ranked Den Bosch (28-5) 88-85 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Leiden. Leiden was trailing by 9 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 30-23 charge of Den Bosch, which allowed them to win the game. American guard Matt Bauscher (188-85, college: Boise St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 5 assists. The other American import forward Wil Carter (203-88, college: San Jose St.) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Den Bosch's coach Raoul Korner used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. International guard Arvin Slagter (191-85, agency: Court Side) replied with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and international Worthy de Jong (194-88, agency: R.H.Consultancy) added 23 points in the effort for Leiden. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Den Bosch have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 28-5 record. Leiden at the other side keeps the second place with eight games lost. Den Bosch are looking forward to face Leeuwarden (#5) on the road in the next round. Leiden will play against Weert and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
