No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Quimper UJAP (15-11) beat at home 14th ranked Vendee Challans (9-17) 103-90. Quimper UJAP made 29-of-36 charity shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Strangely Vendee Challans outrebounded Quimper UJAP 36-23 including 22 on the defensive glass. 28 personal fouls committed by Vendee Challans helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Spanish point guard Carlos Cherry (184-79, agency: Global Sports Plaza) who scored 33 points (!!!) and 8 assists (was perfect 14-for-14 from the free throw line !!!). Nigerian forward Corey Raji (198-88, college: Boston Coll., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) chipped in 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Lithuanian power forward Petras Balocka (205-86, college: Hawaii) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and forward Fabien Herard (198-79) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Quimper UJAP and five Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. Vendee Challans' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Quimper UJAP maintains seventh place with 15-11 record, which they share with La Rochelle. Vendee Challans at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with 17 games lost. Quimper UJAP's next round opponent will be league's leader Orchesien BC in Orchies and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
