Regular Season Round 29: St Chamond - Monaco 58-72

Very expected game when 12th ranked Saint Chamond (10-16) lost at home to sixth ranked Monaco (15-10) 72-58. The game was mostly controlled by Monaco. Saint Chamond was better in second period 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Monaco had a 32-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Serbian forward Milutin Aleksic (203-82) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Moustafa Diallo (187-80) chipped in 22 points. Four Monaco players scored in double figures. American forward Tyray Pearson (201-80, college: Iowa St.) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and forward Jean-Stephane Rinna (205-83) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Newly promoted Monaco maintains sixth place with 15-10 record. Saint Chamond at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Monaco's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Souffelweyersheim in Souffel. and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Saint Chamond will play on the road against Blois (#4).
