Second Stage Round 6: Teodo Tivat - Levski Sofia 72-88

Balkan League top team - Bulgarian Levski Sofia (11-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat fifth ranked Montenegrin Teodo Tivat (5-9) 88-72. It looked good early as Teodo Tivat took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Levski Sofia had a 18-12 second period charge getting the lead and Teodo Tivat was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 72-88. They outrebounded Teodo Tivat 40-27 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for Serbian point guard Marko Marinovic (183-83) who led his team to a victory with 30 points and 4 assists. Serbian center Mladen Pantic (209-82, agency: Alti Sport) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Guard Srdjan Subotic (195-88) replied with 13 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Manuel Johnson (201-83, college: Tex.A&M-Comm.) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Teodo Tivat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Levski Sofia maintains first position in Group C with 11-3 record. Teodo Tivat at the other side dropped to the bottom place with nine games lost.
