An interesting game took place in Sao Jose where higher ranked Sao Jose/Vinac (19-12) was upset on its own court by tenth ranked SKY/Basquete (15-16) 87-76 on Thursday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sao Jose/Vinac. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 51-38 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. SKY/Basquete shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when SKY/Basquete made 9 blocks. Loser Sao Jose/Vinac keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. SKY/Basquete will face Mogi (#13) in Mogi das Cruzes in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
