An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Hod Hasharon. First ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona faced 3rd ranked Hod Hasharon. Guests from Nes Ziyona (21-3) defeated host Hod Hasharon (17-7) 78-71. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hod Hasharon won third quarter 21-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Naturalized Welsh forward Tal Michael Dunne (197-87) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Benn is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Naturalized Latvian swingman Gary Gandel (203-80) replied with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Nigerian power forward Chukwudinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: N.E.T.) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Hod Hasharon. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ironi Nes-Ziona have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-3 record. Hod Hasharon at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play against league's second-placed Ironi Nahariya at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hod Hasharon will play against Hapoel Kfar Saba and hopes to get back on the winning track.
