No shocking result in a game when eleventh ranked Lille Metropole (15-15) smashed on the road 16th ranked Saint Vallier (9-21) 95-76 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Lille Metropole. Saint Vallier managed to win second period 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lille Metropole forced 26 Saint Vallier turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Saint Vallier's players. American Jason Siggers (188-85, college: Albany) scored 34 points (!!!) and 8 steals (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import power forward Steffon Bradford (198-78, college: Nebraska, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Lille Metropole's coach Abdourahmane N’Diaye used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American guard Brad Tinsley (190-89, college: Vanderbilt) with 12 points and 4 assists and Florent Tortosa (196-89) scored 14 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lille Metropole moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Maurienne. Saint Vallier lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 21 games lost. Lille Metropole will meet at home Saint-Quentin (#13) in the next round. Saint Vallier will play against Nantes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
