No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Kyoto Hannar. (25-20) beat on the road 9th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (15-30) 86-80 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Tokyo Cinq R. won third quarter 24-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated also this game. It was a very good performance for center Marcus Cousin (211-86, college: Houston) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Masaharu Kataoka (190-85) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Kyoto Hannar.'s coach Honoo Hamaguchi allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Ricky Woods (194-84, college: SE Louisiana) answered with 29 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and center Jonathan Jones (211-79, agency: TSS Management) added 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Tokyo Cinq R.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kyoto Hannar. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Hamamatsu P. Tokyo Cinq R. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 30 games lost. Kyoto Hannar. will have a break next round. Tokyo Cinq R. will play again at home against Kyoto Hannar. (#5).
