Regular Season Round 30: Antibes - Pau-Lacq-Orthez 82-71

Round 30 in ProB means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Antibes where host Olympique Antibes (18-12) beat league's leader Pau-Lacq-Orthez (22-8) 82-71 on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Olympique Antibes. Pau-Lacq-Orthez managed to win fourth quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Olympique Antibes looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who scored 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import swingman Anthony Hilliard (193-86, college: Elizabeth City) chipped in 19 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was David Denave (195-85) who recorded 24 points and 4 assists and American forward Brian Boddicker (204-81, college: Texas) added 17 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olympique Antibes have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Fos Ouest and Rouen. Pau-Lacq-Orthez at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Evreux who have the same record. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play next round against SPO Rouen trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Olympique Antibes will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked JL Bourg on the road.
