The game without a history. SV Halle Lions led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Rhein Main Baskets to just 7 points in third quarter. SV Halle Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Rhein Main Baskets' 32. SV Halle Lions forced 21 Rhein Main Baskets turnovers and outrebounded them 43-20 including a 28-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for SV Halle Lions especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. Canadian forward Tamara Tatham (185-85, college: Massachusetts) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and American point guard Daphanie Kennedy (175-86, college: Pepperdine) accounted for 19 points and 8 rebounds. Four SV Halle Lions players scored in double figures. American guard Alyssa Karel (170-89, college: Wisconsin) came up with 18 points and the other American import forward Denise Beliveau (180-89, college: New Hampshire) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Rhein Main Baskets in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
