An interesting game for Okinawa GK (36-10) which played road game in Fukuoka against one of their biggest challengers Fukuoka Rizing (31-17). First ranked Okinawa GK managed to get a 8-point victory 76-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fukuoka Rizing. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-68. Okinawa GK made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) notched a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Morihisa Yamauchi (173-90) supported him with 19 points. Even a double-double of 20 points and 19 rebounds by American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) did not help to save the game for Fukuoka Rizing. His fellow American import forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida, agency: Court Side) added 19 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Okinawa GK maintains first position with 36-10 record. Loser Fukuoka Rizing dropped to the second place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Shimane SM. Okinawa GK will meet at home Gunma (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Fukuoka Rizing will play against Hamamatsu Phoenix (#5) in Mikawa and hope to secure a win.
