Budivelnyk celebrated a home win to open the quarterfinal series versus The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-20. But Hoverla won second period 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri, agency: Edge Sports) stepped up and scored 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Australian-Dutch power forward Daniel Kickert (208-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side American Kyndall Dykes (190-87, college: New Orleans, agency: Edge Sports) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import forward Ryan Pearson (198-90, college: George Mason) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
