The game without a history. Istanbul Universitesi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Russian center Irina Osipova (196-81) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points and 9 rebounds. The former international guard Tugba Palazoglu (171-80) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Erlana Larkins (185-86, college: N.Carolina) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 20 rebounds and British center Chantelle Handy (191-87, college: Marshall) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Mersin. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
