Very important is a home loss of second ranked Garra Canera de Navolato (3-2) against fifth ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (3-2) on Tuesday night. Host Garra Canera de Navolato was defeated by Rayos de Hermosillo in a tough game in Navolato 76-83. It looked good early as Garra Canera de Navolato took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Rayos de Hermosillo had a 27-16 second period charge getting the lead and Garra Canera de Navolato was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 76-83. Rayos de Hermosillo made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Rayos de Hermosillo outrebounded Garra Canera de Navolato 36-17 including 24 on the defensive glass. American forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) stepped up and scored 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and forward Jorge Camacho (203-89, college: E.Kentucky) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American swingman Raymond Canady Jr. (201-84, college: Valdosta St.) responded with 20 points and guard Adrian Villalobos (183) scored 17 points. Four Garra Canera de Navolato players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Navolato. Rayos de Hermosillo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Garra Canera de Navolato will play again at home against Rayos de Hermosillo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
