Quarter-Finals Round 2: Khimik - Halychyna 75-82

Halychyna shocked Khimik heading back home with a 2-0 cushion in the series. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-16. But Khimik won second period 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Halychyna looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Ivan Shkurupiy (200-82) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. American-Bulgarian point guard Willie Deane (188-80, college: Purdue, agency: Higher Vision Sports) responded with 13 points and 6 assists and Montenegrin-Bosnian swingman Suad Sehovic (196-87) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Khimik's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
