The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But NBC won third quarter 17-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Duesseldorf Baskets won last quarter 24-17. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Chris Gadley (207-87, college: Canisius) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and naturalized Croatian guard Marin Petric (190-80) who added 16 points during the contest. At the losing side swingman Cornelius Adler (195-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and naturalized Russian forward Nikita Khartchenkov (200-87) scored 15 points (made all of his seven free throws). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
