Rather predictable result when fifteenth ranked Mirandola (13-18) defeated on the road 17th ranked Mazzeo San Severo (10-21) 81-74 on Sunday. Mazzeo San Severo trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 19-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 74-81 at the end of the game. Point guard Jordan Losi (182-80) stepped up and scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and forward Luca Pignatti (195-86) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Gionata Zampolli (189-85) with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and swingman Ivan Scarponi (196-86) scored 22 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Mirandola maintains fifteenth place with 13-18 record.
