Istanbul Universitesi trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 24-11 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 69-71 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Vincentian-Spanish center Sancho Lyttle (192-83, college: Houston) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 rebounds. Belgian center Ann Wauters (194-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Russian center Irina Osipova (196-81) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Tugba Palazoglu (171-80) added 14 points in the effort for Istanbul Universitesi. Istanbul Universitesi's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
