An interesting game for Galil Gilboa (11-12) which played road game in Ashkelon against 4th placed Ironi Ashkelon (5-18). Third ranked Galil Gilboa managed to get a 6-point victory 82-76. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 30-18. But Ironi Ashkelon won second period 14-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated also this game. Guard Jamar Smith (191-87, college: S.Indiana, agency: KMG Sports Management) fired 23 points and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Mitchell Watt (208-89, college: Buffalo) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four Galil Gilboa players scored in double figures. Swingman Jarvis Hayes (201-81, college: Georgia) produced 27 points and 5 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) and forward Marcus Dove (206-85, college: Oklahoma St.) added 21 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Galil Gilboa moved-up to second place in League. Ironi Ashkelon at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 18 games lost. Galil Gilboa will have a break next round. Ironi Ashkelon will play on the road against Hapoel Holon (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
