Very important is a home loss of third ranked Shimane Magic (31-18) against tenth ranked Saitama Broncos (15-34) on Saturday night. Host Shimane Magic was edged by Saitama Broncos in a tough game in Shimane 98-100. Shimane Magic cut a 20-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. Saitama Broncos made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Shimane Magic turnovers. American swingman John Humphrey (188-80, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: Court Side) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) for the winners and guard Yuki Kitamuki (184-85) chipped in 28 points and 5 assists. point guard Edward Yamamoto (173-86) responded with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Five Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. Shimane Magic's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Saitama Broncos maintains tenth place with 15-34 record. Shimane Magic at the other side keeps the third position with 18 games lost. They share it with Shiga L-Stars. Saitama Broncos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Shimane Magic will play again at home against Saitama Broncos and hopes to get back on the winning track.
