Very important is a home loss of second ranked Yokohama BC (32-17) against sixth ranked Chiba Jets (25-24) on Saturday night. Host Yokohama BC was defeated by Chiba Jets in a tough game in Yokohama 67-74. Yokohama BC trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 27-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 67-74 at the end of the game. Guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) came up with 24 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Global Sports Plaza) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Yokohama BC in the defeat. Yokohama BC's coach Reggie Geary tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Chiba Jets moved-up to fifth place. Loser Yokohama BC keeps the second position with 17 games lost. They share it with Iwate Big Bulls and Toyama Grouses. Chiba Jets will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yokohama BC will play again against Chiba Jets and hope to secure a win.
