Regular Season Round 53: Iwate Big Bulls - Miyazaki SS 86-59

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (32-17) outplayed at home 10th ranked Miyazaki Shining Suns (9-42) 86-59 on Saturday. Iwate Big Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Miyazaki Shining Suns' 40. Iwate Big Bulls forced 23 Miyazaki Shining Suns turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American center Dillion Sneed (203-84, college: E.Tenn.St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!). His fellow American import forward Carlos Dixon (201-81, college: Virginia Tech) contributed with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. American power forward Thomas Fairley (206-82, college: Lamar) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) added 15 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Miyazaki Shining Suns. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Iwate Big Bulls have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Yokohama BC and Toyama Grouses. Miyazaki Shining Suns lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 42 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will face again Miyazaki Shining Suns (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
