There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Takamatsu FA (20-31) beat at home higher ranked Kyoto Hannar. (27-22) 90-76 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Takamatsu FA. Kyoto Hannar. was better in third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). His fellow American import forward Brandon Penn (203-90, college: Rider, agency: I.D.S. Law) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Takamatsu FA's coach Kenzo Maeda allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Jermaine Boyette (188-78, college: Weber St., agency: SportsTalent) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds and Yu Okada (184-83) added 23 points in the effort for Kyoto Hannar.Four Kyoto Hannar. players scored in double figures. Takamatsu FA maintains ninth place with 20-31 record. Loser Kyoto Hannar. keeps the fifth position with 22 games lost. Takamatsu FA will face again higher ranked Kyoto Hannar. (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
