Rather expected game when 6th ranked Ironi Ashkelon (5-19) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Hapoel Holon (10-14) 83-77. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-19. But Ironi Ashkelon won second period 25-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hapoel Holon made 29-of-34 charity shots (85.3 percent) during the game, while Ironi Ashkelon only scored nine points from the stripe. 29 personal fouls committed by Ironi Ashkelon helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
