Regular Season Round 54: Iwate Big Bulls - Miyazaki SS 84-60

Date: April 21, 2013
Very expected game when 10th ranked Miyazaki Shining Suns (9-43) were crushed on the road by fourth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (33-17) 84-60 on Sunday. Nigerian-American power forward Reggie Okosa (208-80, college: La Salle) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Carlos Dixon (201-81, college: Virginia Tech) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Kyohei Ito (175-88) scored 10 points and 7 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Iwate Big Bulls have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Miyazaki Shining Suns lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 43 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will face league's second-placed Fukuoka Rizing on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
