Second Stage Round 2: Hapoel Eilat - Netanya 74-82

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Hapoel Eilat (15-9) against fifth ranked GreenTops Netanya (13-11) on Monday night. Host Hapoel Eilat was defeated by GreenTops Netanya in a tough game in Eilat 74-82. Strangely Hapoel Eilat outrebounded GreenTops Netanya 39-27 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was guard Ramel Bradley (188-85) who scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Marco Killingsworth (203-82, college: Indiana, agency: Avi Zilberman) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Four GreenTops Netanya players scored in double figures. GreenTops Netanya's coach Danny Franco used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Eli Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and guard Scotty Hopson (200-89, college: Tennessee) added 22 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. GreenTops Netanya moved-up to fourth place in League. Newly promoted Hapoel Eilat keeps the second position with nine games lost. GreenTops Netanya will meet Maccabi Rishon (#6) in the next round. Hapoel Eilat will play against Hapoel Jerusalem (#5) and hope to secure a win.
