Regular Season Round 48: Hangtuah - NSH GMC Riau 81-70

Date: April 22, 2013
No shocking result in a game in Pandang where seventh ranked Hangtuah (15-14) defeated bottom-ranked NSH GMC Riau (2-28) 81-70 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Hangtuah. NSH GMC Riau managed to win second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Hangtuah made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was swingman Tri Wilopo (180-86) who scored 21 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Jekky Sagala (175-87) chipped in 8 points and 9 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Juliano Sucipto (188-82) who recorded 16 points and 7 rebounds and Agus Pamungkas (178-87) added 14 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hangtuah moved-up to sixth place. NSH GMC Riau lost fourteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 28 lost games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
