The game with biggest result difference took place in Tijuana. Local Tijuana Zonkeys (5-6) were outscored by second ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (9-4) 111-80 on Tuesday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tijuana Zonkeys. The game was mostly controlled by Rayos de Hermosillo. Tijuana Zonkeys managed to win fourth quarter 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Tijuana Zonkeys 44-28 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Five Rayos de Hermosillo and four Tijuana Zonkeys players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Rayos de Hermosillo. Defending champion maintains second place with 9-4 record having just -2 point less than leader Guaymas. Loser Tijuana Zonkeys dropped to the third position with six games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Rayos de Hermosillo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tijuana Zonkeys will play again against the league's second-placed Rayos de Hermosillo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
