The game in Jerusalem was also quite interesting. Second ranked Hapoel Eilat (16-9) played at the court of 5th ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (12-12). Hapoel Eilat managed to secure a 7-point victory 78-71 on Wednesday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 21-12. But Hapoel Jerusalem won second period 24-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Scotty Hopson (200-89, college: Tennessee) who scored 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). Power forward Eli Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Josh Duncan (203-86) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and Courtney Fells (198-86, college: N.Carolina St.) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Four Hapoel Jerusalem players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Hapoel Eilat maintains second place in League with 16-9 record having just -5 point less than leader Galil Gilboa. Loser Hapoel Jerusalem keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost. Hapoel Eilat will face league's leader Maccabi T-A in Tel-Aviv in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hapoel Jerusalem will play on the road against GreenTops Netanya (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
