Important game to mention about took place in Castelletto. Seventh ranked Omegna (18-14) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 3rd placed Castelletto (18-14) 70-67 in the fight for the third place. Castelletto cut a 18-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. Omegna made 22-of-23 charity shots (95.7 percent) during the game. Omegna had a 35-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for naturalized Georgian Nika Metreveli (211-91, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). Naturalized Ivorian guard Mohamed Toure (190-92, agency: Players Group) helped adding 16 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Center Marco Pazzi (203-79) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and forward Francesco Ihedioha (196-86) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Four Omegna and five Castelletto players scored in double figures. Omegna have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Casalpusterlengo and Castelletto. Omegna will play against Recanati (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Castelletto will play against Mirandola (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
