Regular Season Round 35: Treviglio - Agrigento 65-60

An interesting game was also surprising road defeat of 5th ranked Agrigento in a game versus Treviglio (#8) 65-60. Agrigento was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 23-16 charge of Treviglio, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 22 Agrigento turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Davide Reati (193-88) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 4 steals. Forward Riccardo Pederzini (198-89) accounted for 13 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Naturalized Argentinian forward Albano Chiarastella (196-85) came up with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international center Roberto Chiacig (210-74) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Agrigento in the defeat. Four Treviglio and five Agrigento players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Treviglio (17-14) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Lucca. Newly promoted Agrigento dropped to the sixth position with 15 games lost. Treviglio will meet Reggio Calabr. (#10) in the next round. Agrigento will play against Lucca (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
