Semi-Finals Game 1: Ferro-ZNTU - Azovmash 63-82

Azovmash thrashed Ferro-ZNTU in Zaporizhya at the start of the semifinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Azovmash. Ferro-ZNTU managed to win third quarter 24-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Azovmash had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. American point guard Lynn Greer (186-79, college: Temple) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners and Serbian power forward Tadija Dragicevic (206-86, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds. Four Azovmash players scored in double figures. Azovmash's coach Sergei Zavalin used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Jeremy Chappell (191-87, college: Robert Morris, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) responded with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import forward Cameron Moore (208-90, college: UAB) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds.
